The Allegheny County Parks Foundation is hosting two events at North Park on Oct. 15.

Park ‘til Dark offers free, family-friendly activities starting from 8 a.m. Some events include yoga, birding, volunteer tree planting and family fishing.

The foundation’s annual Pour at the Park annual beer, spirits and food fund-raising event begins at 5:30 p.m. and lasts until 8:30 p.m. Dave Gray of McCandless, owner of CDG Sports Events, will create an “Ultimate Sports Zone” from 6-7:30 p.m. for kids ages 6-15. There also will be live entertainment and Ticket prices for Pour at the Park range from $10 to $55.

Zombies

Three Rivers Paintball is hosing its 10th annual Zombies of the Corn, starting Sept. 23-24 and continuing on weekends in October.

People can board vehicles to shoot at zombies that can’t shoot back. Other attractions include the new 3D Funhouse, the Zombie Compound and the Z-Maze. There will also be story tellers, bonfires, outdoor movies, Fire Dancers, stilt walkers and food.

Groups or companies can reserve covered picnic tables complete with campfires.

Parking will be handled by the Boy Scouts of America Troop 444 collecting donations of $5 a car.

Zombies of the Corn is located at 282 Rochester Road, in Freedom, Beaver County.
