News briefs: Plum school district educators receive grants, fish frys on tap at Monroeville church

Plum Borough School District

Plum School District officials accepted a couple grants on behalf of their educators.

Kelly Wickersty at Holiday Park Elementary was awarded $370 through Donors Choose to purchase Storyworks digital and print resources for grades 4-6.

Mark Dinga at Plum High School was awarded $370 through Donors Choose to purchase high interest novels to promote reading.

Fish fry planned

The Church if the Resurrection at 455 Center Road in Monroeville will host Lenten fish fries on Feb. 19, 26, March 5, 12, 19 and 26.

It is drive-thru only with a single menu item, a fish dinner with a sandwich, fries and coleslaw. The cost is $10.
