Woman killed in collision on William Penn Highway in Monroeville

A woman was killed and three other adults were injured in a two-vehicle crash late Saturday night in Monroeville, Allegheny County Police said.

The victim, who was not identified, was fatally injured while riding in a Nissan Pathfinder that hit the rear of a Toyota Rav 4 at about midnight in the 3700 block of William Penn Highway, county police said. Both vehicles were occupied and were traveling westbound when the accident occurred, police said.

All occupants were transported to area hospitals and the three survivors were reported hospitalized in stable condition, police said.

County detectives are investigating the accident.
