The westbound lanes of Route 22 were closed for nearly three hours Wednesday in Monroeville after a tri-axle truck tipped and dumped its contents on the highway.

Monroeville Volunteer Fire Company No. 5 officials said no one was injured when the truck rolled over Wednesday shortly after noon near the Cochran dealership on William Penn Highway.

Social media users reported Route 22 westbound traffic was backed up all the way into Murrysville in the early afternoon.

Westbound Route 22 reopened to traffic just before 3 p.m., according to Monroeville police.
