A military veterans memorial at a Monroeville cemetery will be dedicated May 18.

The Catholic Cemeteries Association of the Diocese of Pittsburgh will dedicate the veterans memorial starting at 1 p.m. at a Good Shepherd Cemetery plot, located at 733 Patton St.

Members of the public are invited to attend and several local veterans organizations will participate in the service, which will be led by the Rev. Albert L. Zapf of the Monroeville and Penn Hills church groupings.

The memorial theme is “Faith, Country and Family.” It will include etchings in granite depicting scenes from several wars.

There also will be an honor roll of names on which families can choose to have the names of loved ones inscribed.
