A Pitcairn man was identified as the victim of a pedestrian-vehicle accident Wednesday night in Monroeville.

Thomas Risko, 32, was pronounced dead at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at an area hospital, the Allegheny County Medical Examiner said.

Risko was struck just before 6 p.m. at the intersection of Broadway Boulevard and the 4500 block of Coffey Street by a Ford Mustang driven by a 26-year-old man, Allegheny County police said. The police did not name the driver.

County homicide detectives and a collision reconstruction unit investigated the fatal crash.

Additional details weren’t immediately available.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call the county police tip line at 1-833-255-8477. Callers can remain anonymous.
