The suspect in two robberies at the Monroeville Eat’n Park is described as carrying a handgun and wearing a mask.

Monroeville police seek assistance in identifying a man they believe robbed an Eat’n Park twice this year.

Chief Doug Cole said the robberies at the restaurant along Monroeville Boulevard took place on Jan. 2 around 7:30 a.m. and June 11 around 10:45 p.m.

In the first incident, the suspect made his way to an office, held a manager at gunpoint, according to Cole. In the second robbery, the man held two people at gunpoint in the office.

No injuries were reported in either incident.

“We think it’s the same guy,” Cole said. “His method of operation is the same. It appears he has familiarity with the restaurant. He knows where the office is and where the safe is.”

He described the suspect as a Black man standing approximately 5 feet 7 inches and wearing all dark clothing, including a black mask. He was carrying a black handgun and a satchel-type bag.

Eat’n Park spokeswoman Courtney Caprara issued a statement:

“At Eat’n Park, our team members are the heart of our company, and it has always been our priority to ensure their safety in the workplace.”

Company leaders including the chief executive and chief operating officers “have been actively on site at our Monroeville restaurant to provide care, to listen, and to address any concerns our team members may have around this incident,” according to the statement.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Monroeville police department at 412-856-1111 or anonymously contact the Pennsylvania Crime Stoppers at 1-800-4PA-TIPS or online at p3tips.com/tipform.aspx?ID=107. Callers can remain anonymous.
