Monroeville, Pitcairn continue to see slower rise of covid-19 positive cases as of Feb. 3, 2021

As coronavirus cases are beginning to rise more slowly in Allegheny County and across the country, Monroeville and Pitcairn seem to be following that trend.

As of Feb. 3, there have been 2,092 total cases of the novel coronavirus in Monroeville since March, according to the latest information provided by an interactive Allegheny County covid-19 map. A total of 70 deaths have been reported, including eight in the past week, and 9,411 tests have been administered to Monroeville residents.

Monroeville’s case rate is 737 per 10,000 residents.

Since the pandemic began, Pitcairn has had 120 cases. Four deaths have been reported, and 682 tests have been administered to Pitcairn residents. The case rate in Pitcairn is 364 per 10,000 residents.
