Steve and Bari Huff of Monroeville receive their orders from PGH Crepes co-owner Regina Adams during the fourth annual Food Truck a Palooza in 2020 at the Monroeville Convention Center.

You’re invited to step under the Big Top and explore a kaleidoscope of cuisine when one of the nation’s only indoor food truck festival returns to western Pennsylvania.

Presented by GoodTaste! Pittsburgh, Food Truck A Palooza is scheduled for 1 to 6 p.m. Jan. 14 at the Monroeville Convention Center, 209 Mall Plaza Blvd.

A showcase of Pittsburgh’s mobile restaurants, this year’s event will feature a circus theme, complete with aerialists, juggling, magic, sideshow acts, clowns and more.

Big Top performances will take place at 2 and 4 o’clock, and roaming circus acts will occur throughout the day. Additional features include beer and spirits, hands-on activities for kids, sideshow acts, life-sized dancing puppets, and face painting.

“There’s a growing passion for mobile eateries,” said show producer Dee Weinberg. “Food Truck A Palooza will allow entire families to enjoy this cool new way of dining within the cozy comfort of the Monroeville Convention Center.”

The event will welcome some of the region’s most popular food trucks, including Revival Chili, Brew Wagon, PGH Crepes, Country Mountain Moonshine, Millie’s Homemade Ice Cream and Hoshi, featuring Japanese hibachi.

Entertainment includes Pittsburgh Circus Center aerialists, O’Ryan the O’Mazing Stilt Walker and Juggler, Weird Eric the Magician, life-size dancing puppets, and – of course! – Pittsburgh’s beloved Shrine Clowns.

Advance tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children ages 5 to 12. Tickets at the door at $15 for adults and $7 for kids. Youngsters under age 5 are free. Admission does not include food truck purchases.
