DUI, drugs among charges handled by Monroeville Judge Jeffrey Herbst on May 17, 2021

Monroeville District Judge Jeffrey L. Herbst handled these cases May 17. Defendants will have court dates set in the Allegheny County Court of Common Pleas. All charges were filed by Monroeville police unless otherwise noted.

Held for court

• Ashley Cook, 24, of Wilmerding on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia and four counts of possession of controlled substances. Pitcairn police filed the charges April 26.

• John Brandon, 32, of Pittsburgh on charges of receiving stolen property, theft by unlawful taking, loitering and prowling at night and driving with a suspended license. Charges were filed Nov. 10.

• Herman Geiger IV, 31, of Wilmerding on charges of following too closely, careless driving, failure to stop at red signal, accident involving damage to attended vehicle or property, driving with a suspended license and accidents involving death or personal injury. Charges were filed June 30.

• Evan Lefevre, 28, no address given, on charges of possession of controlled substances, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession with intent to deliver. Charges were filed March 21.

Waived preliminary hearings

• Chad Brennan, 22, of Monroeville on charges of possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving under the influence and turning movements and required signals. Charges were filed Jan. 17.

• Dean Charletta, 60, of Pittsburgh on charges of driving under the influence, careless driving and disregard traffic lane. State police filed the charges Jan. 5.

• Kimberly Hopf, 30, of Verona on charges of driving under the influence. Charges were filed Feb. 18.

• William Montgomery, 59, of Arnold on charges of failure to register with state police. Allegheny County Sheriff’s Office filed the charges April 22.

• Darrell Carr, 31, of Pitcairn on charges of burglary, criminal trespass, stalking, criminal mischief and loitering and prowling at night. Pitcairn police filed the charges May 4.
