Charlotte Cook, 7, of Mount Pleasant waits in line in the rain for Taylor Swift merchandise Friday with her new Swiftie buddy Grace Chiappone, 5, of Buffalo, NY.

There’s a good chance of rain throughout the day in Pittsburgh, but the tens of thousands of Swifties in town for the first of two weekend concerts will likely shake it off.

The National Weather Service called for quick bursts of rain Friday evening, with cooler than usual temperatures.

“We start out dry, then into the early evening we’ll see rain showers,” meteorologist Jason Frazier said.

“We can’t rule out a thunderstorm, but it won’t be severe.”

Frazier said temperatures will climb to a high of about 70 degrees.

“It’ll be a little bit of a cooler start for the concert,” he said.

A cold front will slowly cross the western half of the forecast area this morning. Cooler behind front, still the risk for showers and possibly a storm. Weekend shaping up to look much nicer. Dry and warm. pic.twitter.com/g1srbNBR0E

On Saturday, concertgoers and those who are celebrating Juneteenth festivities across the region can expect dry conditions.

Temperatures are expected to reach 78 degrees with widespread sunshine.

Sunday will be much of the same, with dry conditions and warmer temperatures of about 80 degrees.
