A McKees Rocks man will spend at least 15 years in prison after pleading guilty Monday to third-degree murder.
Tomichael Sherrell, 22, admitted to shooting Bradley Lucier, 23, to death in Stowe Township on April 11, 2019.
A criminal complaint filed in the case said Lucier had planned to sell Sherrell marijuana that day, but instead Sherrell tried to rob him.
A witness told police that Sherrell pulled out a gun and pointed it at Lucier, saying, “‘Don’t move.’”
“The victim then kicked the male down the steps, and then witness No. 1 heard one gunshot and watched the victim fall on to the landing,” the complaint said.
Investigators were able to identify Sherrell through security cameras, license plate reading cameras and witness statements.
As part of the plea agreement, Sherrell also admitted to a firearms count.
He will serve 15 to 35 years in state prison and must also pay the victim’s unpaid funeral expenses.
