A man was hospitalized Wednesday morning after being stabbed in Homewood.

Pittsburgh police said they found the injured man, who had been stabbed in the upper shoulder area, around 9 a.m. near the intersection of Frankstown and North Homewood avenues.

Authorities have not named the victim.

Police said “the victim was not forthcoming with information about what led up to the incident.” Officers believe the victim knows the person who stabbed him, police said.

Paramedics took the injured man to an area hospital in stable condition.

Pittsburgh police are investigating.
