Man shot in leg in Clairton, hospitalized

A man was hospitalized Saturday night after being shot in Clairton.

Police responded to the 500 block of Elm Street at 7:49 p.m. and found the victim suffering from a gunshot wound to the leg, Allegheny County Police spokesman Jim Madalinsky said.

The man, an adult who Madalinsky did not name, was taken to a local hospital in stable condition, he said.

Allegheny County Police detectives are investigating.
