A man was shot and wounded Tuesday afternoon in Pittsburgh’s North Side.

Just before 3 p.m. Tuesday, Pittsburgh police, firefighters and EMS responded to the 900 block of Pennsylvania Avenue in the city’s Manchester neighborhood for a ShotSpotter alert about shots fired.

First responders found an adult male victim with a gunshot wound to the upper-left chest area. He was taken by medics to an area hospital in critical condition.

There are no arrests at this time, police said. The bureau’s violent crime unit is investigating.
