A man was rushed into surgery after being stabbed Monday night at a home in Pittsburgh’s Sheraden neighborhood, according to police.

Police said officers responded around 7:18 p.m. to a report of a man stabbed in the 2900 block of Zephyr Avenue.

The man had stab wounds to his chest and neck, police said. He was taken to a hospital in critical condition.

Officers searched the home but did not find the assailant. Weapons were found at the scene, police said.

Police were continuing to investigate.
