Man recovering after being shot in Pittsburgh's Knoxville neighborhood
A man is recovering after being shot Tuesday afternoon in Pittsburgh’s Knoxville neighborhood.
Public Safety spokeswoman Cara Cruz said city police were dispatched just after 1 p.m. to the 100 block of Charles Street for a shooting.
Mount Oliver Police working in the area arrived first and located a man who had been shot in the thigh, Cruz reported.
Officers applied a tourniquet until Pittsburgh EMS could transport the patient to the hospital in critical, but stable condition.
The Mobile Crime Unit processed evidence at the scene. Violent Crime Unit detectives are investigating.
Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to contact Pittsburgh police at 412-323-7800.
