A man who was shot multiple times in Pittsburgh’s Homewood neighborhood on Saturday night has died, according to an Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s report.

John Larnell Taylor Jr., 42, of Pittsburgh was pronounced dead at a hospital shortly before 9:30 p.m. Saturday night.

He had been shot along the 7000 block of Idlewild Street in Homewood West nearly an hour before, the report stated.

Zone 5 officers responded around 8:45 p.m. to a ShotSpotter alert and 911 calls for a man shot.

They arrived to find a male with multiple gunshot wounds to the abdomen. He was taken to a local hospital in critical condition, where he later died.

Public Safety officials said the investigation is ongoing. Investigators did not have a description of a suspect.
