Police say a man was found shot dead behind a house in Clairton early Saturday morning.
A report of shots fired in the parking lot of the Village Inn in the 800 block of Miller Avenue was made to 911 at 11:55 p.m. Friday, according to Allegheny County Police.
First responders arrived but found no victim there.
Shortly before 12:30 a.m., first responders were notified of a man found in the backyard of a house in the 800 block of Van Kirk Street, which is separated from Miller Avenue by an alley.
Officers found the man had been shot and was dead, county police said.
The Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the man as Elliott Page, 45. His hometown was not provided, listed only as being outside Allegheny County.
