Man dead after motorcycle crash in Carrick
A Sheraden man riding a motorcycle died Monday evening after a crash in Pittsburgh’s Carrick neighborhood, police said.
Public Safety spokeswoman Cara Cruz said the crash occurred along Saw Mill Run Boulevard/Route 51 shortly before 7:30 p.m.
The man was found on the road unconscious and not breathing, Cruz said. The Allegheny County medical examiner’s office identified him as Noah Battista, 19.
He was taken to a hospital in critical condition.
An off-duty nurse was in the area and performed CPR on him until medics arrived, Cruz said.
Cruz said the driver of the other vehicle stayed on scene and cooperated with police. No other injuries were reported.
