As coronavirus cases are beginning to rise at a seemingly slower rate in Allegheny County and across the country, the communities within the Hampton Journal area are following that trend.
As of Jan. 20, there have been 939 cases of the novel coronavirus in Hampton since March, according to the latest information provided by an interactive Allegheny County covid-19 map. The township has reported 11 deaths. A total of 5,016 tests have been administered to Hampton residents. Hampton’s case rate is 511 per 10,000 residents.
Since the pandemic began, McCandless has had 1,364 cases and 62 deaths. There have been 8,467 tests administered to McCandless residents, and the case rate is 479 per 10,000 residents.
