Rivers Casino Pittsburgh plans a job fair next week in preparation for the summer opening of The Landing Hotel.
Scheduled from noon to 8 p.m. Wednesday, the job fair looks to fill both full-time and part-time positions. Candidates could receive an offer the same day.
“We’re in search of eager, engaged team members who are looking for a new career in the hospitality industry,” Bud Green, general manager, said.
Salaried positions include front office and housekeeping supervisors. Hourly positions include front desk representatives, night auditors, reservations, valet/bell attendants, housekeeping house attendants and housekeeping room attendants.
The job fair will be held in the second-level ballroom at the North Shore casino.
Because of the location, attendees must be 21 or older to participate in the event. Those interesting in applying, however, must be at least 18.
Work on the new $60 million hotel has been underway since August 2019, when crews officially broke ground. The project sat idle for much of 2020 because of the covid-19 pandemic.
Construction on the seven-story, four-star hotel resumed last June and is expected to wrap up this summer. Once finished, it will have 219 guest rooms attached to the casino’s east facade, facing the Carnegie Science Center. It is expected to bring 128 new permanent jobs.
