Sealarks Women’s Group

Sealarks Women’s Group Kickoff Dinner will take place at 4 p.m. Sept. 14 at Memorial Park Church, 8800 Peebles Road in McCandless. This group provides Christian fellowship and social activity for women alone – widowed, divorced or never married. All women alone are welcome to attend and consider joining the group. Traveling recycling bin

Pennsylvania Resource Council’s traveling glass recycling bin will be in Deer Lakes Park Aug. 27-Sept. 1. It will be in the Veterans 2 lot on Mahaffey Road near the round-a-bout. Individuals can drop off glass bottles, jars and jugs of all colors (no color sorting required). Containers should be empty and rinsed, with lids and labels still on. Bags and boxes used to deliver glass must be discarded off-site. For more information, visit prc.org/glass.

Spanish for preschoolers

The Pine Community Center is hosting a new Spanish language learning program for children ages 3 to 5 starting on Sept. 28. Kids will be taught how to count and learn phrases and greetings. The cost for the eight-week program, which runs from 10:30 to 11 a.m., is $115 for PCC members and $125 for nonmembers.

Story time yoga

Parents with children between the ages of 3 and 5 are invited to participate in a fun introduction to yoga. Participants will read through a story and do basic yoga moves before moving onto a craft project. The class kicks off on Sept. 13 and will run from 10:30 to 11 a.m. The cost per class is $6 for PCC members and $9 for nonmembers.

AARP meeting

AARP #595 welcomes members and guests to its September meeting featuring the Crooks & Klein Duo singing solos and duets of traditional, religious, oldies and big band tunes. Meetings are the first Tuesday of the month at Hampton Presbyterian Church, 2842 E. Hardies Road in Gibsonia. Annual membership is $7 per person. Join for fun, friendship and great trips.
