St. Barnabas Charitable Golf Open

Enjoy a fun, casual Friday of golf as St. Barnabas Charities hosts the 35th Annual Charitable Golf Open on June 10 at Conley Resort & Golf Club in Butler. Proceeds from this annual event support the St. Barnabas Free Care Fund.

The Charitable Golf Open offers morning and afternoon start options. The format of play is four-player, best of two balls. The lowest team score wins the tournament and the Bell Trophy. Plus, second and third place team awards. Golfers are eligible to win great raffle prizes, with winners drawn every half hour. Golfers and guests can also browse the silent auction, plus participate in the 50/50 raffle.

Class of 2011 reunion

Pine-Richland High School’s Class of 2011 will hold its 10-year reunion (delayed because of covid) on May 28 at Narcisi Winery. Cost is $75 per person and includes a buffet dinner, drinks cake and more. All payments are due by May 7. To-go dinners

Glenshaw Century Club, Inc. will once again sponsor to-go dinners to benefit scholarship grants for Shaler Area High School Seniors and other local charitable organizations.

Meals are $15 each (cash or credit card) with pick-up at Glenshaw Valley Presbyterian Church, 1520 Butler Plank Road, Glenshaw, from 3-6:30 p.m.

Free Mega Sports Camp registration open

Back for its ninth year, Northgate Church Mega Sports Camp is a week of free fun for kids in first through sixth grades. Camp dates are June 20-24, from 6-8:30 p.m. at the church, 238 West View Ave. in Ross.

Kids can choose clinics in baseball, basketball, soccer, cheerleading, gymnastics, dodgeball or art.

Upbeat music, playing games, skits, singing and learning Bible stories also are among the activities designed to help children discover their character traits for success in life.

While the camp is free, registration is required. Space is limited, so early registration is recommended either online at northgatechurch.com or by calling the church office at 412-931-6016.

Greater Pittsburgh Civil War Roundtable

Michael Kraus will present “Civil War Treasures and Stories from the Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hall” at 7 p.m. June 20 at the Hampton Township Community Center, 1301 McCully Road, Allison Park. The lecture is free and open to the public. Masks and social distancing are required.

East Suburban Citizen Advocacy to host 5K

East Suburban Citizen Advocacy will host its annual “Super Fun Run For Everyone 5K” on June 5 in Export. Check-in for the 5K, which serves as a fundraiser for the nonprofit and helps further its mission of enhancing the lives of those with disabilities, will be at 8 a.m. by the Westmoreland Heritage Trail access in Export, by the borough’s red caboose. The race will start at 9 a.m.

Christian Cochran garden dedication

The What’s Good About Today Christian Anthony Cochran Memorial Waterscape Garden will be dedicated on May 22 at St. Stanislaus Kostka Church in the Strip District, following the 11 a.m. mass.

Class of 1972 reunion

Hampton Presbyterian Church

Hampton Presbyterian Church is hosting a Car Show from 2-6 p.m. May 21. All makes and models are welcome. Feel free to bring your own tables, chairs and EZ-ups. Family-friendly fun, music by DJ, Denny Dutko, and various food booths.

Dino Day

May 20 is Dino Day at the Pine Community Center. There will be crafts, a scavenger hunt and even an ice cream bar and cupcakes. This event is from 6-7:30 p.m. at the Pine Community Center for children aged 4-10. Parents and children need to be enrolled. Cost is $12 for a child PCC member/Pine resident, $16 for child non-members/non-residents, $7 for adult PCC members/Pine residents, and $11 for adult non-members/non-residents.
