Trees planted throughout Sharpsburg as part of conservancy program
Dozens of volunteers took to the streets of Sharpsburg for a tree planting with the Western Pennsylvania Conservancy.
The event took place from 9 a.m. to noon on April 8.
Volunteers met up along the 1000 block of Main Street to pick up safety vests and supplies.
They were split into groups and planted in various locations throughout the borough.
Western Pennsylvania Conservancy officials also taught them about proper tree planting techniques and tree care.
