Nicole Harber, of Plum, was part of the Artist in Recovery art show hosted by the Sharpsburg Community Library on Sept. 17, 2022, and sponsored by Community Care Behavioral Health. Harber had been treated in UPMC Western Psychiatric Hospital for depression. She made a crayon drawing of dark clouds and the sun coming out, Community Care organizers said.

The Sharpsburg Community Library hosted an in-person artist reception on Sept. 17 to recognize National Recovery Month in September.

“Artists in Recovery” enabled artists to shared their art and approaches celebrating mental and physical recovery and creativity.

The event was sponsored by Community Care Behavioral Health, which is celebrating its 25th year. It is a subsidiary of UPMC and part of the UPMC Insurance Services Division. The art show was part of its anniversary series of events.
