Allegheny County Police are investigating two shootings that occurred within 15 minutes Friday in Sharpsburg and Etna, communities that sit less than a mile apart.

Police were called at 11:45 p.m. to the 300 block of Linden Avenue in Sharpsburg after a woman was shot in the leg.

She was taken to the hospital in stable condition.

Minutes later, police responded to the 50 block of Cherry Street in Etna after a woman reported gunshots and said at least one bullet entered her home.

Police made arrests in both incidents.

• Robby Booker, 39, of Pittsburgh faces charges of aggravated assault, child endangerment and illegally possessing a firearm. He was arrested in connection to the Sharpsburg shooting after witnesses told police Booker argued with the victim inside the home.

Police said Booker fired a single shot during the argument, striking the woman in the leg. There were two children home at the time, according to police.

Blawnox officers found Booker shortly afterward in the 900 block of Main Street and took him to the county jail, where he is awaiting a preliminary hearing.

• Just before midnight, Etna police responded to reports of shots fired in Etna. Officers found at least one bullet that penetrated a wall of a home and said it appeared to come from a home next door, where they found a spent shell casing on the floor of the kitchen.

Witnesses told police Richard Kennelly, 48, came to the home and demanded money from someone inside.

There was a fight, after which Kennelly showed a gun and began making threats, according to police.

Witnesses told police Kennelly fired two shots. No one was injured.

Kennelly was taken into custody at the scene and faces charges of aggravated assault, reckless endangerment and carrying a firearm without a license.

He is in the county jail awaiting a preliminary hearing.
