Pizza with O’Hara police
O’Hara Township is sponsoring a free pizza-themed evening for residents.
“Pizza with the O’Hara Township Police” is scheduled from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. May 24 at the O’Hara Community Park Shelter 2.
Officers will be available for a meet and greet and pizza will be served.
A police car will be available for anyone to see, along with other police-related equipment.
Parkview EMS will be in attendance to check car seat installations.
Shaler gardens
Five spectacular gardens will be on display during the 14th Annual Shaler Great Gardens Tour, July 10, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Sponsored by the Shaler Garden Club, the tour benefits the Shaler North Hills Library.
Tickets can be purchased at the Shaler North Hills Library, 1822 Mt. Royal Blvd., Glenshaw, for $15 in advance of the tour and $18 the day of the tour. Tickets are also available online at www.shalerlibrary.org.
The ticket entitles people to tour the gardens and also have a chance to win a gift basket. The event is held rain or shine.
