Aspinwall Movies in the Park
Aspinwall Police Department is presenting its Movies in the Park series.
The July and August movies will be shown at Ben Killian Field at 8:30 p.m.
The September and October movies will be shown at Aspinwall Fireman’s Park at 8 p.m.
“Space Jam A New Legacy” will be shown July 22.
Disney’s “Encanto” is scheduled for Aug. 12.
“The Mitchells vs. The Machines” is set for Sept. 2.
“The Addams Family 2” is set for Oct. 7.
Admission and popcorn are free.

Fire at Wendy’s in Harmar
Departments from O’Hara and Blawnox were among the crews to respond to a June 21 fire at the Wendy’s restaurant near the intersection of Freeport Road and Alpha Drive in Harmar.
Allegheny County dispatch said the call came in shortly before 6 p.m.
No injuries were reported. Crews from Springdale, Oakmont, Brackenridge and Allegheny Valley also responded.
A couple of the restaurant’s front windows were broken.
An O’Hara ladder truck was used to get to the roof of the restaurant.
Traffic was reduced to one lane on Freeport Road in front of the restaurant. The entrance to Alpha Drive from Freeport Road was closed.
It is unclear what started the fire or when the fast food restaurant might reopen.
