Fox Chapel area's latest coronavirus numbers for Feb. 3, 2021

As coronavirus cases have begun rising more slowly in Allegheny County and across the country, communities in The Herald area are also seeing their case numbers rise at a slower rate.

As of Feb. 3, there have been 265 total cases of the novel coronavirus in Fox Chapel since March, according to the latest information provided by an interactive Allegheny County covid-19 map. One death has been reported, and 2,163 tests have been administered to Fox Chapel residents.

Fox Chapel’s case rate is 492 per 10,000 residents.

• Since the pandemic began, Aspinwall has had 88 total cases of the virus. In that time, Aspinwall has seen one death and 715 tests have been administered to its residents. Aspinwall’s case rate is 314 per 10,000 residents.

• In O’Hara, 440 total cases of the virus have been reported, with three deaths. A total of 2,942 tests have been administered to O’Hara residents, and the case rate is 523 per 10,000 residents.

• Sharpsburg has had 111 cases of the virus and one death. A total of 892 tests have been administered to Sharpsburg residents, and the case rate is 322 per 10,000 residents.

• In Blawnox, 66 total cases of the virus have been reported. There has been one death reported, and 380 tests have been administered to Blawnox residents. The case rate is 461 per 10,000 residents.

• Indiana Township has had 472 cases of the virus with 10 deaths reported. There have been 2,171 tests administered to Indiana residents, and the case rate is 651 per 10,000 residents.
