Hundreds of people took part in Aspinwall’s Memorial Day activities on May 30, which included a memorial ceremony outside American Legion Post 77 on Commercial Avenue and a parade.
Weather couldn’t have been better for the event with bright sun and almost cloudless skies.
The parade returned after a two-year hiatus caused by the pandemic.
Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, the Fox Chapel Area High School Band, re-enactors and antique cars took part, as did the Aspinwall, Blawnox, Sharpsburg and the Floral Park volunteer fire departments plus Foxwall EMS. The parade ended with dozens of kids riding their bikes.
