Cars pass over the Fort Duquesne Bridge in Pittsburgh Sunday evening, May 1, 2022.

The work that was to have closed the upper deck of the outbound Fort Duquesne Bridge on Friday and Saturday nights has been postponed.

Instead, an overnight closure will happen from 9 p.m. Sunday night through 5 a.m. Monday morning on the bridge, according to PennDOT.

Crews will remove pavement markings and replace them with new, durable pavement markings on the outbound, upper deck of the bridge (I-279).

The closures come on the heels of similar April shut downs on the Fort Pitt Bridge and Tunnel and the Liberty Tunnel.
