The family of Micah Graham, a Woodland Hills student who was killed in early November, is asking for the public’s help.

The family of a Woodland Hills High School student found shot to death in a Swissvale park earlier this month is asking for the public’s help in finding his killer.

Micah Graham’s body was discovered in Les Getz Memorial Park on Nov. 5. He was 16 and played on the high school’s basketball team.

Rena Halsel, Graham’s grandmother, said the family remembers Graham as “crazy, funny, and just full of life all the time.”

“He was a beautiful person,” Halsel said. “All he wanted to do was play basketball and live his life.”

She’s now imploring the public to share any information they may have regarding her grandson’s death.

“If you know something, please say something,” Halsel said. “The very littlest thing you might’ve heard or seen might be a humungous lead into this investigation.”

Halsel said she and her family know nothing regarding the details of Graham’s death. But knowing what happened and seeing justice served would help them begin to heal.

“It would never fill the hole that’s left in our hearts, but we just need to know why,” Halsel said. “We need any information that you’re able to give us to attempt to solve this case. It’s going to be solved. But we need it sooner than later.”

Graham’s memory will stay alive, Halsel said. She said she plans to have a billboard in his honor and host other events to memorialize his life.

“It is the most devastating thing you could imagine. We’ve never had tragedy in our family. We’ve never had this. And it’s very hard to process. It’s very hard to deal with. You took someone’s child, you took someone’s brother, you took my grandson,” Halsel said.

Police have urged anyone with information to contact the county police tip line at 1-833-ALL-TIPS (1-833-255-8477).

Halsel also encouraged people to contact her directly at 412-980-7352.
