The library’s “It’s a Wonder-filled Morning” program offers plenty of activities for children.

• Murder By the Book! A Mystery Book Discussion. The group will discuss “Gone for Good” by Joanna Schaffhausen at 6:30 p.m. Nov. 16. Please call the library at 412-684-1098 to request a copy of the book.

Everyone who is interested in great reads is invited to the group.

• Cooks-N-Books will meet from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Nov. 17 for “Sips & Dips!” in Great Room A.

The cookbook and food discussion group is for people who love to cook and make new friends. No real experience or culinary expertise is needed. To participate, check out a cookbook, prepare a dish and bring it to the group the evening of the discussion, along with a copy of the recipe. Participants sample everyone’s dishes.

There will be a $2 to cover the cost of supplies.

• Betty’s Book Buzz Discussion Group will meet at 1 p.m. Nov. 18 in the library to discuss “The Personal Librarian” by Marie Benedict. Please call the library at 412-684-1098 to request a copy of the book. All avid readers are invited to join.

• “It’s a Wonder-filled Morning” drop-in storytime takes place from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays. Children of all ages and abilities welcome.

Activities are Stories and Songs at 10, 10:45 and 11:45; Investigate and Create, 10:20; Parachute Play, 11:15; and Stay and Play, noon.

• Card Club meets 1 to 3 p.m. Wednesdays. Show your skill, teach someone a new game, or just enjoy time with friends.

The library and community center will close at 5 p.m. Nov. 23 and remain closed through Nov. 27.
