The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission warned motorists to expect delays and lane closures late Wednesday following a crash in the eastbound lanes of the toll road in Hampton.

An Allegheny County 911 dispatch supervisor confirmed the wreck occurred at about 11:30 p.m. at the 46.9 milepost, between the Butler Valley and Allegheny Valley exits.

Since state police and firefighters had yet to reach the scene, he could not confirm reports that a tractor-trailer had overturned.
