A reader submitted this photo showing a car loaded onto a flatbed truck Wednesday morning after a crash that closed the inbound lanes of the Fort Duquesne Bridge.

One person was taken to the hospital after a crash on the Fort Duquesne Bridge Wednesday morning, according to an Allegheny 911 shift commander.

Crews responded to the lower deck of the bridge shortly before 4:40 a.m. for reports of the wreck that left a car leaning up against a side barrier of the structure after breaking through a fence. According to Tribune-Review news partners WPXI-TV, the incident involved a tractor-trailer and a car.

The crash initially caused all inbound lanes to close, according to PennDOT. That was later reduced to a lane closure.

Crews cleared the scene around 8:50 a.m.

Information on the person’s condition or what caused the crash were not immediately available.

CLEARED: Multi vehicle crash on I-279 southbound at Downtown/To I-376 East.
