One person was hurt in a fire in Duquesne on Tuesday morning, according to Tribune-Review news partner WPXI.

The fire was reported around 5:45 a.m. along Kennedy Avenue.

A neighbor told reporters at the scene that a man lives at the home and that witnesses heard him yelling for help. Neighbors told WPXI that the man jumped from a roof to escape the fire.

WPXI reports a 911 dispatcher said the man was taken to a local hospital. His condition is not known.

Smoke billowed from the two-story home as ladders were set up to reach second-story windows.
