Pittsburgh police responded to a vehicle crash early Wednesday morning in Pittsburgh’s South Side neighborhood. The crash resulted in a section of East Carson Street being closed from 33rd Street to Becks Run Road.

The inbound lanes of East Carson — also known as Route 837 — were reopened to traffic by 6:15 a.m., according to WPXI.

The closure stretches from Page Dairy Mart to the GetGo on 33rd Street.

WPXI reported that a driver appeared to have crashed into a pole, which caused it to fall. No injuries have been reported.

Crews worked Wednesday morning to clear the downed pole from the road.

Drivers are encouraged to seek detours, such as taking Second Avenue, aka Route 885, through Hazelwood and crossing the Hot Metal Bridge into South Side.
