Christian women's voter organization to stop in Western Pa.
The largest Christian public policy women’s organization, Concerned Women for America, is making its way to the Temple of Faith in North Versailles this evening for the “She Prays She Votes Rally.”
Founded in 1979, Concerned Women for America’s goal is to encourage women across the country to bring Biblical principles and Constitutional values into public policy. The tour is to encourage Christian women to go to the polls on Nov. 5 for the presidential election and work as poll workers and watchers.
Today’s “She Prays She Votes” bus tour will be the fifth in Concerned Women for America’s history.
Traveling on a big pink bus with the message, “Honk if you know what a woman is,” displayed on the back is Penny Nance, CEO and President of Concerned Women for America.
“This year, the stakes could not be higher, and CWA is doing everything in its power to motivate and activate Christians across the country to get to the polls and vote for men and women who champion their values,” Nance said in a news release.
Nance, along with fellow Concerned Women for America, focus on issues such as anti-abortion, traditional marriage, public education reform, religious liberty, national sovereignty and stopping sexual exploitation such as pornography and prostitution. The Christian organization also supports Israel stating on their website that “people and nations who stand with Israel and the Jewish people will be blessed by God.”
Teamed with Patriot Mobile, an American mobile virtual network, the bus tour will be stopping in 12 key election states including Wisconsin, Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Georgia, Arizona, Nevada and Montana.
The Pittsburgh event will begin at 6:30 p.m. and attendees will hear from eight speakers, including the host of the “Hannah Faulkner Show,” Hannah Faulkner and retired Pennsylvania judge Cheryl Allen.
There will be free food, prizes and activities for children at the event as well, according to Concerned Women for America’s news release.
“There’s a cultural battle raging across this country, and CWA is on the frontline protecting those values through prayer and action,” the Concerned Women for America website said.
