Presto VFD pancake breakfast

Presto Volunteer Fire Department, 5228 Thoms Run Road, Collier, will hold a pancake breakfast with a special seasonal guest.

The event is scheduled for 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Dec. 18.

Toys for Tots drive

Scott Township is collecting for Toys for Tots. Last year’s drive resulted in a large truckload of unopened toys for local children.

Toys may be dropped off at the township administrative offices during regular business hours. The final day for collections will be Dec. 12. More information is available from the drive organizer, Lisha Mihalko, at 412-276-5300, ext. 213.

Meet and greet in Scott

A meet and greet with state Rep. Dan Deasy, D-Westwood, is scheduled for 5 to 7 p.m. Dec. 13 at the Scott Township Municipal Building, 301 Lindsay Road.

Deasy represents the 27th State House District, which will include Scott as of 2023.

Chanukah toy drive

Chabad of the South Hills is holding its annual Chanukah toy drive for hospitalized and underprivileged children.

Items being collected are new, unwrapped toys. Some ideas include puzzles, games, art supplies, Legos, dolls, play food and kitchen items, and baby toys.

Toys can be dropped off until Dec. 14, from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, at Chabad of the South Hills, 1701 McFarland Road, Mt. Lebanon. For more information, call 4122-278-2658.

South Hills Lights Chanukah event

The annual South Hills Light event celebrating Chanukah is scheduled for 5 p.m. Dec. 19 in the parking lot of Dormont Pool, 1801 Dormont Ave.

Featured are music, face painting, a glow-in-the-dark tent, dougnuts, a gelt drop and the lighting of a giant Menorah.

The event is free. Online registration is encouraged at southhills.chabadsuite.net/ civicrm/event/register? reset=1&id=39.

Sponsors are Chabad of the South Hills, Dormont Borough, JKS Financial and Slater Funeral Service.

Jan. fitness classes

Westminster Presbyterian Church in Upper St. Clair is offering January fitness classes: Absolute Abs, Barre Sculpt, Cardio Kickboxing, Cardio/Strength Fusion, Tai Chi and Zumba.
