Chartiers Valley’s football boosters brought together members of the community in a fun way.
The booster club held its second annual community pep rally Friday, Aug. 16 at the Primary School’s field.
The event included football players and cheerleaders from kindergarten through 12th grade, as well as the dance team and drumline.
It included games, food trucks and raffles. The Charvalettes, cheerleaders and drumline provided entertainment.
Varsity football coach Aaron Fitzpatrick said the event is “a big community builder.”
“It’s a step closer toward creating a large football family,” he said. “It’s not just varsity: It’s middle school, it’s K-12. It’s not just football. It’s cheer and dance and drumline.”
Fitzpatrick told his players to use the event to create memories with younger students.
“We can create new relationships and bonds with some of the young bucks that look up to them,” he said.
