Body discovered in the Monongahela River identified
A body discovered in the Monongahela River on Wednesday morning has been identified.
Dive teams pulled the body of Raheem Buchanan, 39, from the river about 7:30 a.m. near the Mon Wharf. The Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s Office identified Buchanan on Saturday morning. The office did not immediately announce where Buchanan is from or a cause of death.
Pittsburgh police are investigating what led to Buchanan’s death.
