The Armstrong Tunnels in Pittsburgh will be closed overnight Monday into Tuesday morning, Allegheny County Public Works announced.

The closure is scheduled to run from 8 p.m. Monday to 6 a.m. Tuesday.

The tunnels are being closed so that T2 Utility Engineers of Cranberry can do utility investigation work, according to public works.

No detour will be posted.

To get around the closure, inbound drivers can use Second Avenue, Ross Street and Forbes Avenue.

Outbound drivers can use Forbes Avenue, Chatham Square, Fifth Avenue, Ross Street and Second Avenue.
