It’s the final weekend in January. Here are some ways to spend it.
Star-studded
The “Dancing with the Stars – Live Tour 2022!” is happening at 8 p.m. on Friday at the Benedum Center, Downtown. Performers such as Brandon Armstrong, Alan Bersten, Artem Chigvintsev, Sasha Farber, Daniella Karagach, Pasha Pashkov, Gleb Savchenko, Emma Slater and Britt Stewart will take the stage. Dances include the Cha Cha, Foxtrot, Salsa, Tango – and everything in between.
Tickets start at $69.50.
Guests over 12 years old must show proof of covid-19 vaccination. Facemasks are required.

Gallery Crawl
Pittsburgh Cultural Trust’s annual winter Gallery Crawl is from 5:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Friday throughout the Cultural District.
There will be more than 20 free events at Trust galleries and other outdoor and indoor locations and public art places.
The Trust’s Education Center will host a pop-up artist market featuring Nafasi on Centre and The Ohringer Artists in Residence on the fourth floor. The University of Pittsburgh’s WPTS Radio musical will host a musical showcase at the Pierce Studio.
There is one ticketed event — from 10-11:30 p.m., Crawl After Dark will showcase the music of rapper Benji, a Pittsburgh native now based in Atlanta, at the Greer Cabaret Theater.
Tickets for the 18-and-older show are $10.
Guests can see “Intrude,” inflatable rabbits by Australian artist Amanda Parer.
New this year is a collaboration between the Downtown Pittsburgh Partnership and S&S Productions, “Drag Me Downtown,” a series of drag performances and music taking place from 5:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Heinz Hall Courtyard. The event will feature four performances by Luna Skye, Calipso and Alexa Van Cartier, with music provided by DJ Formosa.
Guests under age 12 are not required to be vaccinated but must present a negative covid-19 test, wear a mask and be accompanied by an adult who meets the venue’s health and safety requirements.

Let’s Dance
The Paul Taylor Dance Company will host performances to celebrate the legacy of choreographer Paul Taylor in the PNC Theatre, Pittsburgh Playhouse at Point Park University, Downtown at 7 p.m. on Saturday and 2:30 p.m. on Sunday.
The show will feature three of Taylor’s works.
“Airs” includes lyricism and power interplay in a fleet-footed dance exploring relationships and romance.
“A Field of Grass” is described as invoking America in the 1960s, where a central character experiences love, drugs, rebellion, and hope through his counterculture community.
Taylor’s work “Esplanade” is playful, somber, romantic and explosive.
Tickets start at $35.
Guests ages 12 and older who are attending a public performance at the Pittsburgh Playhouse must show proof of covid-19 vaccination.

Not Mom
“My Name is NOT Mom” is a journey through motherhood with internet stars Tiffany Jenkins, Meredith Masony and Dena Blizzard.
The show is at 2 p.m. Sunday at Byham Theater, Downtown.
The trio describes the show as “their take on mothering through the sleepless nights of the toddler years, middle school craziness and trying not to physically attack a high schooler.” It features “stand-up, stories and videos from their online community and audience interaction to create an up-close and personal experience that’s funnier than a pap smear.”
Recommended for ages 18+ (contains adult content).
The show is 80 minutes long with no intermission

Jazz it up
The 51st annual Pitt Jazz Seminar and Concert continues this weekend.
The event will feature performances by Pitt jazz students and faculty, a symposium on musicians’ rights, a virtual tour of the Erroll Garner Archive housed at the University of Pittsburgh in Oakland and a concert featuring critically acclaimed pianist Orrin Evans playing with Pittsburgh-based musicians.
All performances will stream from Bellefield Hall on the University of Pitt’s Music YouTube channel. Educational components will take place via Zoom.
At 7 p.m. Friday, members of the Pitt Jazz Studies Program faculty will perform Garner compositions. The Pitt Jazz Collaborative Concert is a 7 p.m. on Saturday.
