Five people were injured in a stabbing Sunday night at a Schenley Park soccer field, Pittsburgh police said.
Two men arrived at UPMC Magee-Womens Hospital, each with stab wounds, shortly before 11 p.m., police said.
Paramedics transferred one of the men to a local trauma center in serious but stable condition, police said. He had been stabbed in the back. The second man suffered a laceration to his shoulder.
The victims told police, through a Spanish interpreter, that the incident took place at a soccer field in Schenley Park. The motive for the stabbing remained unclear Monday morning.
Later, Duquesne police found three more victims from the stabbing, police said. The individuals were transported to a Pittsburgh hospital with various injuries that did not appear to be critical.
Pittsburgh police are investigating.
