Pittsburgh police are investigating a shooting that left a man dead Wednesday evening in the city’s Arlington Heights neighborhood.

At about 5:45 p.m., officers responded to a ShotSpotter alert for 10 rounds of gunfire in the 3100 block of Cordell Place. They found a man with multiple gunshot wounds lying on the ground in a courtyard.

He was dead at the scene, police said.

Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the deceased as Tamont Terale Williams-Brown, 35, of Pittsburgh.

Detectives recovered a gun nearby and the city’s Mobile Crime Unit processed the scene.

Additional details weren’t immediately available.

Anyone with information about the shooting should contact Pittsburgh Police at 412-323-7800.
