A crash early Monday killed a motorist in Pittsburgh’s Carrick neighborhood.
The vehicle crashed into a utility pole at about 1:30 a.m. in the 2300 block of Brownsville Road, according to a Pittsburgh Public Safety spokeswoman.
A male motorist was thrown from the car and was found in the road; he was pronounced dead at the scene, the spokeswoman said. There were no other occupants in the car.
Brownsville Road was closed between Becks Run Road and Maytide Street as city Collision Investigation Unit detectives worked at the scene.
