Out & About: SupperMarket serves good food, music and times
Don Eaglehouse of Latrobe came out to the July 1 SupperMarket at the Lincoln Highway Experience for “good food, good music and a beer.”
He found all that and more, also partaking of lasagna, a burger and red velvet gob cake. His wife, Sue Eaglehouse, enjoyed chicken and saffron rice.
The couple said it was good to be out among people — even at a social distance — after months of staying at home.
The Wednesday evening food fests, running through Sept. 9, are following covid-19 safety protocols, but otherwise offering the same good time as in years past.
Visitors had their choice of tasty fare from Aroma Italiano, Catering Creations, Chef Dato’s Table, Connections Café and Grateful Smoke BBQ.
Detention, the duo of Jane DeBone and Mandy O’Leary, provided acoustic dinner music.
Although organizers have reduced SupperMarket seating capacity, there’s still plenty of room to dine al fresco at picnic tables under leafy shade trees on the museum grounds.
In case of inclement weather, would-be attendees can check the SupperMarket Facebook page or museum website each Wednesday for a cancellation notice.
Seen at supper: Bill and Dorothy Hufford, Wayne and Eddy Confer, Darrell and Teresa Weldon, Larry and Mary Ann Fusco, Terry Tandarich, Rege Tandarich, Hannah Watkins, Meghan Zambanini, Ronald and Charolett Pugh, Nancy Premoshis, Susie Douglas, Sadie Masters, Jackie Ludwig, Jim and Renie Prengaman, Ron and Mary Beth Ciocca, along with staff member Greer Kleber and volunteers Susan Sperlik, Wanda Kinjera, Hanna Kinjera and the Rev. Wayne Sauter.
