Transportation Security Administration releases video of 'most unusual finds'
Transportation Security Administration officials may think they’ve seen everything. But there are some creative passengers out there keeping them on their toes.
Some may try to sneak liquids in containers over the mandated 3.4-ounce minimum on board.
More than a few seem to “forget” about that loaded firearm in their carry-on bag.
Earlier this month, the TSA reviewed some of the “weird” items found in passengers’ baggage, many of which find their way onto the federal agency’s social media accounts.
And officials reveal a quirky sense of humor as well, noting confiscations ranging from a lighter mounted inside of a bullet casing to a glove with razors for fingers.
Also this week, the agency is posting a video to YouTube.com, showing its “top 10 most unusual checkpoint finds” from 2018.
Kind of tough to believe people might try to travel with a giant pair of scissors.
Or hatchets and inert mortar rounds.
There are a few cheeky references to “zombies” and films including “Aquaman,” “Nightmare on Elm Street” and “Chucky.”

Staying vigilant is a big part of the agents’ jobs.
Finding prohibited items, whether they actually are real, dangerous or not, likely keeps the dull moments to a minimum.
