Starbucks rolls out reusable red holiday cups
If red (white and green) cups are back at Starbucks, can Christmas be far behind?
The coffee giant on Thursday premiered its holiday designs “created to evoke mini moments of joy for customers and partners. It’s fun, festive and uniquely Starbucks,” said Jen Quotson, vice president of Starbucks Creative.
Customers who order a holiday beverage at participating Starbucks on Thursday receive a free limited-edition reusable red cup while supplies last.
Better still, bring back the reusable red cup to a participating Starbucks after 2 p.m. today through Jan. 6 and get 50 cents off a handcrafted grande (16-ounce) holiday beverage.
Go now for your first fix of Peppermint Mocha, Toasted White Chocolate Mocha, Caramel Brulée Latte, Chestnut Praline Latte or Eggnog Latte in a holiday cup. Supplies may not last long.

Others were not so hyped-up — or so lucky (Sorry, Karen):
Not receiving a #StarbucksCupGiveaway cup this morning will be the first of many #Karen tirades today.
In a couple of hours she will need to speak to the manager at Kohl’s for not giving her a military discount even though Veterans Day isn’t until Monday, nor did she ever serve.

Karens and Boomers are out in full force this morning to complain to baristas at @Starbucks because they didn’t get a cheap plastic cup #StarbucksCupGiveaway

#StarbucksCupGiveaway While you’re all haggling in line somewhere probably tired, cranky and full of basic, I’m still in the comfort of my own bed at home, cup-less and happy! Take that, Karen!

Stores across the U.S. and Canada are decked out for the holidays, too.
“We wanted coming to Starbucks to be like uncovering a present,” Quotson said.
